About six months ago, I was flooded with invitations to join Facebook. I thought "You've gotta be kidding! Facebook? I graduated from college too many years ago. I'm not a 20-something anymore."

When you run a lean start-up you have to be scrappy about where you get your resources, so naturally when I need technical information I turn to my own personal high tech team, my kids. My 10 year old is an expert on all things Power Point, so when I need to make an employer or investor pitch she’s ready to help. When I want to know about the latest widget on my Mac my middle-schooler knows them all.
