Interesting article I got through the Warrilow Weekly. I thought it
may give some of you ideas on how to make your business look bigger,
or just make your work easier.

How small business fake being bigger than they are

There are a number of emerging tools and tricks entrepreneurs are
using to look big while running their businesses from small,
temporary or non-existent offices.

In his best-selling book, "The 4-Hour Workweek", Tim Ferriss
describes an emerging segment of entrepreneurs who deploy automation
to make their businesses appear large and permanent when in fact
their businesses are small and remotely run.

Ferris identifies a number of tools from companies that could make
interesting new partners for any enterprise company wanting to
demonstrate "they get it" when it comes to this new breed of
entrepreneur:

ringcentral.com - offers a toll-free number with call forwarding,
screening, and voice mail that even sends and receives faxes remotely;

freestockphotos.com - supplies professional-looking stock images to
be used for website or brochures;

elance.com - searches for project-based help;

alexa.com - monitors website traffic of competitors;

offermatica.com - tests the effectiveness of various versions of
home/landing pages;

clicktracks.com - monitors patterns of website traffic and,

gotomypc.com - provides remote access to your office desktop anywhere
there is an Internet connection.

Not shackled with legacy technology investments, these nimble
entrepreneurs are choosing to start virtual businesses powered by web-
based applications. Partner with these companies, and you'll
demonstrate you understand their aspiration to look big while staying
agile.
