In just one year, San Francisco Village enrolled over 100 members, built a solid revenue base and implemented a slate of heavily-used member services and programs for seniors: daily living support, social, cultural and educational programs, health and wellness, and member-to-member volunteer support. Through our own programs and collaborations with many San Francisco organizations, we strive to nourish, enrich, and enhance the experience of aging in our community with a membership that reflects the diversity of our city. Description: San Francisco Village has an annual budget of approximately $200,000. Our revenues come from member dues, grants, and gifts from donors. The organization has two full-time employees (including the ED) and taps a large reservoir of volunteers. Job Description: The Executive Director (ED) is the Chief Executive Officer of San Francisco Village providing leadership for the organization in all essential functions. The ED plays a pivotal role in leading, coordinating and delegating work to the Board and volunteers. Priorities for the ED include charting a strategic course for SFV, implementing a fund development plan that meets fund raising targets set in the budget, operations and financial management, marketing and media relations, member recruitment and retention. Qualifications: As a start-up, SFV requires an ED with entrepreneurial experience and spirit, a broad base of skills and a keen ability to adapt. In leading a membership organization, the ED needs to make extensive use of volunteers and Board members in the conduct of business.
