I recently read a book recommended by my career center-
"Women don't ask".
At first, I thought it was all fluff and talk about touchy feely things which are not relevant for senior executives, but I was completely wrong.
Book is well written and researched, easy to read. Both authors are Ph.D's and professor at Business school.
I found myself agreeing with lot of statements authors made about professional women.Like "we work hard, our work sould be automatically noticed by upper management, we should not need to beg for promotion ,salary raises" etc.
Sound like some one we know?
