I just got back from an HBS Global Leadership Summit where I listened to some great speakers. I found myself thinking about what things we could be doing with our company and employees during these difficult times. Yes, you should plan on cutting back (See Sequoia’s presentation covered on TechCrunch) to be prudent.

Change, in all shapes and sizes, can definitely bring out our deepest fears--but it also offers us vital encounters with the bountiful magic of life...

How do Obama and McCain stack-up on Work/Life issues? Their websites each state their positions on the issues (visit Obama and McCain), but many of the key issues haven't made it to the debates.

Last Thursday I watched the VP debate with hundreds of Bay Area Women at Flexperience and MommyTrackd's Annual New Formulas for Success event. The Palin saga played out in front of 500 working women and a few supportive men. Check out ABC's coverge of the event (and yours truly) here.

Over the weekend my "wife" had to quit to watch her nephew while her sister tutors. And now I am scrambling to find a replacement. My husband just returned to work from paternity leave and so I am back to conference calls hoping my youngest will map and my oldest will play quietly for 15 minutes.

How many of us have been told, “ follow your passion,” “find your passion,” “pursue your passion?” What is it about passion? What is it and why is it so difficult to find?
