School's Out For Summer
Eeek! School's almost out for summer! And, you know what means!! Kids constantly underfoot while you try to maintain your regular day-to-day responsibilities PLUS now you also have to entertain them.
Wanting to make sure my kids stay healthy and active during the summer months I went in search of summer programs in which they could participate. My hunt led me to sports, one youth sports organization in particular whose philosophy I wanted to share with you. The organization is called i9 Sports.
Here's the first thing that jumped out at me about them -- anyone can play! i9 Sports puts the "fun" back into sports fundamental while providing skill development for boys and girls age 6-14 at all skill levels. Everyone is treated fairly, including less skilled players, giving all children an opportunity to play. That means my kids are truly staying active and not just spending time on the bench.
Sports offered include basketball, flag football, soccer and cheerleading.
What are you doing to keep your kids active this summer? I'd love to hear your ideas. Especially--as I am now gazing out the window and seeing a downpour--what to do with the kids on rainy days.
